Our Mission

It is the mission of Grace Place to provide Christian guidance, support and encouragement for women with unplanned pregnancies and for families experiencing brokenness and change so that they may become strong, God-centered families and productive citizens of their community.

Our Vision

The vision of Grace Place is for women and their families to live a spiritually wholesome, safe, healthy and productive life so that they and the community in which they live may thrive.

About the Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors consists of several active community members. Together they take on the responsibility of monitoring the organization on behalf of the clents or public in which we serve. Board of Directors members do this through the duty of care, loyalty and the obedience to the purpose of the organization.

About the Director

Carla Burton has worked in the fields of Early Childhood Education and Family Ministry for over 20 years. The Burton family founded the Grace Place Ministry in December of 1992. She is a single mother of four children and lives in Stockton, MN.

Carla has a B.S. in Elementary Education, which includes a Pre-K and Kindergarten certification. She also is a licensed Kindermusik instructor and is certified to teach Godly Play. Carla also has attended the Youth and Family Institute of Augsburg College for training in Discipleship and the Church Outside the Walls. She is a member of the Thrivent Board of Directors, Winona Early Childhood Advisory Council, and attends Living Light Church.
